Time Rules:
- Four 10 minute quarters, Half time—3 minutes (Stopped Clock last 2mins of the 4Q)
- Minimum of 5 minute warm-up between games.
- Clock: Running Clock, (stopped clock last 2 minutes of the 4Q).
- Time outs: (3) 60 sec. For the entire game.
- Overtime: First team to score 4pts win. No time will be added on the clock, timeouts do not carry over to OT, no additional timeouts during OT.
- Start of Game Possession: A jump ball will determine the team that will start with the ball to mitigate significant differences in height and coordination among children. Alternating possession rules will then ensue throughout the game.
Fouls
- Free Throws: Bonus on the 5th team foul per quarter, team fouls will reset each quarter.
- Players are allowed 6 personal fouls.
Free Throws
- 2 for 1. Players will shoot 1 FT per shooting foul.
- 3 for 1. Players will shoot 1 FT worth 3pts on a 3pt foul call only.
- 1 made FT equals 2pts.
- An “and 1” foul call will result in an automatic 3pt play.
- An “and 1” foul call on a 3pt play will result in automatic 4pt play.
Game Personnel:
- Team listed first or on top is the home team (light jerseys) and will sit to the left of the score table when facing the court.
- Team listed second is the visiting team and will sit to the right of the score table when facing the court.
- The Jamboree staff will provide game ball.. (Game Ball Size: Grade 29.5)
Player Participation:
- Student Athletes must attend school of the team playing in The Jamboree..
- Any Student Athlete/team violating this rule will have player disqualified from event.
Coach/Player Ejection:
- A player, coach or assistant coach, upon being notified by an official that he has been ejected from the game, must leave the playing area IMMEDIATELY and remain away from the playing area of his team during such suspension until completion of the game or must leave the building.
- A player or coach who is ejected must serve a suspension. The suspension is one game (next game) for the first offense, with harsher penalties depending on subsequent ejections and the severity of the offense.
